Destructible Ragdoll

nuke_hater 12 years ago 0

What if the character's body could be ripped apart, just as the vehicle parts could? I think you could just enable it for certain levels/in the options screen, and thus this would create a sense of "health" for the character... I dunno. I feel like it could get annoying, so I think it should be toggle-able, should you decide to implement it.

Deleting Saved Vehicles

Robert Doherty 11 years ago updated by Mark Smith 11 years ago 1

Hey Mark! I've been playing your game for ages now, and I love it. In fact, I bought it 14 minutes after you posted about it's release. :P

I have one problem, though. The delete button doesn't seem to do anything! I'm unable to Save As/Over my saved vehicles aswell as delete them. Please fix the save system if you can, because It's driving me insane. >:(

Maybe I have OCB?

Sorry about that. This has been on the list for ages to fix. Let me see if I can sneak it in for the next patch.

Feature request: Chase camera, fixed on-vehicle camera

Aaron Smart 12 years ago 0

I find levels with turns (especially 22) much more difficult than they should be because I'm constantly having to move the camera around. I also tried to make a loop-the-loop in the level editor but am rarely able to complete it because I can't see for half of it.

It would be great if there was a "chase camera", i.e. a camera facing the rear of the vehicle fixed to the forward direction of the vehicle, as found in most racing games.

A camera fixed to some part of the vehicle would be nice too (like a bonnet/hood cam in racing games) - maybe this could be implemented with a camera item that could be attached to the vehicle? A first-person robot cam wouldn't be so useful as his head tends to move around a lot, but could be interesting for replays.

Android / iOS port?

David Ding 11 years ago 0

Would a Android or iOS version be possible?

My gaming rig is far too huge for me to take on trips and such.
I would love to take this game with me everywhere I go.

What about planes and boats?

nuke_hater 12 years ago updated by Mark Smith 12 years ago 1

We can already kinda make planes, but there aren't really any challenges requiring the taking off and clean landing of planes... Boat physics would be tougher, especially with water physics integration, but I'm sure you could boil it down to little more than dampening buffers... I think it'd be worth it, though

I'm considering adding wings.... now boats..... that's a bit trickier. I'll have to mull that over.

Use arrow keys to control camera

Luca Crescenzio 12 years ago updated by Mark Smith 12 years ago 0
Would be nice if we could use the arrow keys on the keyboard to rotate the camera in the construction mode.

Right Hand Bias

headdie 12 years ago updated by Curufinwe 11 years ago 1
Hi, loving the game so far but I have noticed that there seems to be a slight tendency for the vehicle to go right either on wheels or in the air.  while airborne the movement seems to be roll rather than yawl so I wonder if the code is delivering a slight bias in that direction.

Using 0.4.4b on Windows XP and an AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (Newcastle core)

Rename "Replay" button to "View Replay"

Seven7h 12 years ago updated by Mark Smith 12 years ago 1
When I first started playing I kept hitting the "Replay" button thinking I would get to replay the level (because I read it before the "Retry" button). From a certain perspective, "Replay" and "Retry" sound like the same thing.

I had to train myself to hit "Retry" instead. I think the "Replay" button should be renamed "View Replay", as there may be others who make the same mistake initially.

It seems that your game is loosely based upon the Construx toy

Brian Risinger 12 years ago 0
It seems that your game is loosely based upon the Construx toy ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Construx ) that I had as a kid. I would suggest adding the curve pieces that Construx had (would connect the opposite side of 2 medium pieces on a 90).
Also, some type of rotating piece would be nice. Perhaps a small connector (orange colored) whose ends can spin independently. This would allow construction of helicopters, catapults, trebuckets, or attempts at 'walking' robots.
