Freezing upon hitting 'go' after 3 or 4 attempts

It would appear that the game crashes/freezes upon the third or fourth time hitting GO
Specs are as follows
AMD Phenom II x6 1055T @ stock 2.8ghz
AMD Radeon HD 5830 running Catalyst 12.4 (7.14.10.0903)
6gb of G.skill Ripjaws X (have run memtest a few times for other games)
Windows 7 (updated, fresh 1 month old install)
