Very terrible FPS on a computer that normally has little to no issue running physics based games?
I get very low FPS during the live part of missions from my vehicle or the other vehicles on the map, not sure why when I can run other programs such as KSP or "Garrys Mod" with no issue while supporting many physics based props/items at one time.

I released some performance updates in 0.4.5, which should improve performance a good amount.

Yeah, my graphics card (Radeon HD 6850) occasionally seems to have a hard time with it. Before playing Crashtastic, I had never seen my card temp. rise above ~55°; with Crashtastic, I've had it running at 70°+ (100% load, 2200RPM fan speed). o_O What. Anyway, I'm sure things will improve. =)

Can you provide some stats?
CPU
GPU
Frame rate with 50 piece design?
Crashtastic requires a good CPU to play.

Sure...
Windows 7 32bit
CPU: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 810 Processor
GPU: AMD Radeon 5850 with Catalyst 12.4
FPS with 50pcs design with 0.7.3 is actually now pretty decent, about 100fps.
I recently downloaded 0.7.3 and 12.4 drivers. Maybe that helped? I'll report again if I run into some issues.

This is very strange, and not too surprising that your performance is low when your D3D device is getting reset so often. Can you try updating your graphics drivers?

Yep same issue here: I bought the game today, but when I press "Go" the fps drops down to about 5-6. Specs:
Intel Core i5 @ 2.27ghz
nVIDIA GTX 260M 1GB GDDR3
4GB RAM
I can run Skyrim on Ultra at 1920 x 1080 at 45 fps. I have the settings set to the lowest but it still lags.
