That is a game design feature done to only allow using braces between joints on the same plane. The correct way to use a brace is to create a "plane structure" o side, brace it, and afeter the braceing, add more parts. But if you have a full structure, when the camera changes it's angle, it's easy that some component of other layer/plane gets in the middle of the view and doesn't allow you to click on the joint needed.

You may remove some parts to improve visibility, add braces and after the bracing, add again the parts you removed before. If the problem it's other thing, you have to think that a brace can only join two joints in the same plane, so when you click on the first joint, the camera changes it's angle to show you the "plane" that can receive the second click.

That could be awesome for some videoo making ^_^

Have attention on the robots head, the head going to one side or other changes the full dynamics of the vehicle, I made some desings that have locked the head and the dynamics almost keeps forwards without troubles.

There are separate functions for this. Arrow keys moves de camera, "A" and "D" steer the vehicle

Same happens here for me since 0.4.8 Don't know why, but everytime I try to get one of the levels, it fails just after pressing "Go" button.

People, there's a FAQ section on the web page to be readen. There is a question about a demo wich is the response to your post. Why do everyone ask here without first reading the FAQ or the other list of post asking for the same?

So you don't even read the "Alpha FAQ" on the Crashtastic page: http://www.crashtastic.com/alpha-info/ (Question 6: Is there a demo I can play first?).

Buying the game, it's as simple as buy the game giving some real email and you have an account associated to that email direction.

I don't know if that's your case, but watching videos I've got the conclusion that the head of the robot (Falling to one side instead of directly in front of the body) causes much, if not all, of the balance problems I've seen. Maybe if there is a way to get the robot head fixed at the center, the balance would be better.
